In searching for groups, I found TCU Alert. Have any of you considered using Twitter for mass alerts such as school closings due to bad weather?
I think most of the districts using Twitter are setting up an official account that's focused on news, and in the event of a school closing or other urgent news, they'll use that same account to spread that news.
If you search on Twitter for "ISD", you'll see many accounts like this one:
http://twitter.com/GrandPrairieFAThey all end in FA, have the same icon, and don't seem to have any posts. Anyone know what this is about?
